- Reports to medical facilities - Each ground and air ambulance service shall notify the receiving medical facility by radio or by a means agreed upon by the receiving facility. The notification shall include, at minimum, impending arrival, patient condition, and care rendered to the patient.
Each permitted ambulance shall have two-way direct communication with dispatch centers, base stations, other emergency medical service vehicles, and receiving hospitals. The following frequencies are mandated:
- Enroute to Scene: 155.235; At Scene: 155.28; Depart Scene: 155.34
- All permitted ambulances of licensed services that are participating in the Arkansas Trauma System {##### LINK} must have a Trauma AWIN radio that is in operating condition
- Each air ambulance shall contact the referring and receiving medical facilities or ground scene personnel once within radio range, giving them the estimated time of arrival and when on final approach. Otherwise, the coordination point shall have this responsibility.
Air Medical
- Each air rotor-wing aircraft must have radio capability to communicate air-to- ground, the ability to communicate with physicians who are responsible for directing patient care in transit, and with ground personnel who coordinate the transfer of the patient.
- Air ambulance vehicle specific standards. Rotor-wing and rotor-wing specialty vehicles shall have communication capabilities for 123.05, 155.34, 155.235, and 155.28 radio frequencies.
- In the trauma system utilizing a trauma Arkansas Wireless Information Network (AWIN) radio or another suitable medium capable of real-time, direct communication with the Arkansas Trauma Communications Center (ATCC).

Game and Fish Commission
170 sworn officers using Kenwood, Midland VHF radios. Central Dispatch is in Mayflower, just outside of Little Rock, with 4 operator consoles for each quadrant of the state.
The mobiles communicate with dispatch on one of five channels. The officer, depending on location, manually selects the mobile frequency. The mobiles operate half duplex to communicate with the mobile relay stations. Conversations are repeated mobile to mobile. Relay Stations. Fixed-base relay stations are located throughout each quadrant and operate on one of five mobile frequency pairs in the south-west quadrant and one of four frequency pairs in all other quadrants.
Adjacent sites don’t use the same frequency pair, but frequency reuse throughout the quadrant is permitted. Each quadrant uses up to 16 relay stations. The relay station repeats a mobile transmission to other mobiles as well as to the remote base stations. Remote Base Stations. Each quadrant has a centrally located remote base station that combines all of the radio traffic from the relay stations onto a dedicated four-wire voice-quality leased line. The base station site consists of four receivers tuned to the relay station transmit frequencies. The received audio is gated by the presence of carrier and continuous tone controlled squelch system (CTCSS) from the relay station transmitter.
